ZES IV.5:
ZES IV.5 was completed in October 2004. It is the newest fuel cell powered scooter developed by APFCT. ZES IV.5 is the advanced version of ZES IV, it retained the ZES IV appearance, but changed to a fuel cell – ultra capacitor hybrid power system for improved performance comparable to a 50cc ICE scooter. In comparison to ZES IV, ZES IV.5 employs a better transmission system with higher efficiency. ZES IV.5 has higher performance than ZES IV, especially in maximum speed and climbing ability, and is lighter in weight. ZES IV.5 was exhibited at the 2004 Fuel Cell Seminar Conference held in San Antonio, TX, USA. Close to 100 attendees test rode the ZES IV.5.
ZES IV:
ZES IV is a brand new generation of fuel cell powered scooter developed by APFCT. It was completed in September 2003 and is the second totally integrated fuel cell/chassis scooter developed by APFCT. ZES IV is designed in accordance with Asian scooter styling and a 24V system to reduce weight and cost. It is easy to handle and maneuver, weighing only 109 kg. ZES IV is regarded as a pre-commercialization prototype. ZES IV was Exhibited at the 2003 Fuel Cell Seminar Conference at Miami Beach, FL, USA; the 15th World Hydrogen Energy Conference in 2004 at Yokohama, Japan; and at Japan Osaka Castle in 2004. Over 300 people test rode ZES IV. |
